BATH WESTERN RIVERSIDE
Location Bath Size 500,000 sqft Mixed Use Client Rock This 15 acre former Stothert & Pitt crane manufacturing site was the largest empty site within the Bath Western Riverside area. GML produced masterplan proposals for the site to anticipate the regeneration of the wider Western Riverside area whilst providing opportunities for autonomous first stage development proposals for 500,000sq ft of mixed-use development. The proposals seek to take full advantage of the aspect across the River Avon; bring water into the site; create a permeable and active ground plane; draw from the proportions of Bath City Centre; include ecological areas and green roofs; plan for future green traffic links; and anticipate realistic development phasing of the site. The proposals acted as a catalyst for the ongoing development of the wider Western Riverside Area, with first phase development of the site later taken forward by Fielden Clegg Bradley Studios for Crest Nicholson. |
