The site was a former petrol station with single aspect onto Clerkenwell Road within the Hatton Garden Conservation Area. The offices are set over 7 storeys with the elevations set up to respond to the proportional heights of the Conservation Area whilst adopting a principally glazed façade system. Stonework panelling was negotiated to a minimum with Conservation to optimise light into the building and the apparently random patterning is designed within a modulated system to optimise prefabrication.
